But The Thing Is...

There's more to life than government, money, and politics.
There's passion, love, creativity, experience...
On the one hand I believe the dissolution of capitalism, and money is what's required for an ultimately evolved, and elevated human society. I see very vividly what Marx explained in the Communist Manifesto about capitalism's wastefulness, mass production, and destruction; the current commodity most obviously being the smart phone.

However, I accept that the elimination of a monetary system is still far off from collective acceptance. What can you do?

Still, we've reached a point where all the potential pitfalls of our condition are, if we only turn them over or switch our mental positions, equally useful tools in altering our condition.

So this election is going on, and everyone's got their viewpoints and the issues that matter to them, and their expectations. There's one thing that Romney keeps touting that's sticking for me, which I hands up and down will stand behind: if you want to do something then do it.
It's called perspective. Everyone's got one.
The Republicans are all about restoring the country to some idealized vision of greatness - which for me is neither here nor there. But the undertone of their vision for the future is about people being self starters, and initiating the fulfillment of their lives themselves, by creating their own opportunities.

Forget politics for one second, and realize that regardless of external circumstance you alone are accountable for yourself, and you must get your shit done.

Just because this idea is coming from the opposite party does not make it an inherently bad idea.

Real growth and development comes when we acknowledge our unique perspectives and allow one another's insights to fill in the blanks we may have missed. (Just saying.)

I read an article on Fast Company about how retailers like Nordstrom work around the challenge of  the online experience reducing in-store purchases, while stores like Target or Walmart seem to struggle against it. And while this is all corporate business blah blah blah, the truth is in every single capacity Life is a challenge, and you must be aware, present, and proactive toward each perceived obstacle.

Dating is hard. Friendships are hard. Jobs are hard. Budgeting is hard. Exercising is hard. Beating a cold in under 8 days is hard. Eating healthy is hard. Not doing drugs and drinking is hard. Things are difficult, exaggerated and exacerbating. C'EST LA ~ FUCKING ~ VIE. Every single day.

So are you going to whine and bitch and moan and feed into the fear of an uncertain future because you honestly believe that just one man in a tailored suit with greasy pockets has the power to determine your fate? You've got to be kidding me. You determine your entire situation, in every single capacity in which you exist. You are in charge of your own life. Think outside the box and get shaky to make things happen for you.
