For a while there in senior year I thought about asking Gideon Yago to go to prom with me. But then I didn't. He was one of the last real journalist types to do news on MTV right before MTV turned (for good, but really for worse) into the shit puddle of cable programming it is now. And because it bears repeating: MTV is a shit puddle of cable programming. It's awful. It's garbage. It's a failed joke. Take it out back and shoot it. Anyway, Gideon... how do I describe his hot...?

The glasses. The awkward smile. The hair. The teeth. The way he moves while he talks. I mean, whatever. He's a total dork, and I love dorks. And I really like how weird his name is. Gideon Yago also wrote a piece for one of my favorite books "Bahmitzvah Disco" which I totally bought and paid for from American Apparel on Court Street in 2008, and then sold on Amazon.com in 2010. Nowadays Yago's winning by writing with the homies on HBO's Newsroom.
