Can we just call The Newsroom The Jim Show? J/k lol, not really. Kidding.

Here's why John Gallagher, Jr. is a babe: His last name is Gallagher. He's a Gemini. He plays a dorky, workaholic named Jim on HBO's The Newsroom (my latest television obsession/writing inspiration).

A quick google search informed me that he won a Tony in 2007 for Spring Awakening, so that covers the Talent Boner portion of my lust. And for whatever reason (likely that he's a Gemini) his can pull off a variety of looks - short hair, long, glasses, facial hair, smiling, not smiling, and still be so...

Well, he's mostly just Jim to me, because I'm mostly obsessed with The Newsroom, and Jim and Maggie's horrendous romance. Jim's such a good guy. He doesn't have the heart to move in on Maggie through her multiple break ups with Don, nor can he reject Lisa after she mistakenly moves in on him twice. That aside, his character is smart, and committed to his work, and endearing.

The actor gives me of mix of Colin Firth's stiff awkwardness combined with Peter Sarsgaard's devil-may-care grin, and hair. And he's a Gemini. So there's that.
